This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of TripAdvisor LLC.ArubaHospitality, Manager at Renaissance Aruba Resort Casino, responded to this reviewResponded Dear Karen W, Thank You for taking the time to post your recent vacation experience on Tripadvisor.On our second visit, we stood in a room in the 3rd floor facing the Starbucks, and sure enough, that room had none of the issues and had a much better look and feel.We did find accommodating staff (many)-at the pool who helped.We appreciate your candid observations will follow thru as needed to better serve our guests.Some key issues: * Service at the pool bar was dismal.Supposed to be a part of the "elite" status that Marriott makes you believe means something).Very dated and should not have carpet where more mold and mildew can breed.In closing I hope that somehow I can find my way to remaining a devoted Marriott member.If you don't mind the view (and it really isn't great unless you enjoy seeing moored boats and at least from our experience are better built and maintained.
I can honestly say this had to be the best vacation i ever had, the rennaisance has to be the best place felt like a princess, there were 8 of us gals, we had a ball, cannot wait to return to this magnificent place again.

In general, mismanagement and service inconsistency.
I have taken pictures and have enclosed them in this e-mail for you yo see.
But with that being said the room that we are in is the worst thing I have ever seen in any hotel Let alone a "Marriott".
